There are so many exciting things happening! Your anticipation is tangible in this sharing.
Isn’t it wonderful to behold and enjoy the creativity of our own natural seed?
My favorite image from this is him standing in the road. How insightful of him to search out and prove the path from God applies to our current environment and position—always.
Also, wouldn’t his art be a perfect book cover for a devotional / expository on Exodus using your daily Wake-Up Call installments?
J.D. hearing your Wake Up Call this morning and being led to click on the link for seeing David’s painting and hearing about Ex Deus has nourished my soul.
Thank you so much. I did send a reply email to The Wake Call; I hope you and your team see it.
Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
Oh and I am excited for the painting; I signed up for it.
This is incredibly powerful and encouraging. May the good Lord richly bless this unfolding adventure to His praise and glory, the blessing of many and of course our contemporary Bezalel, John David Walt III. May your tribe increase as you bless your generation!
What a beautiful gift your son has, JD! It’s especially beautiful because he is using his gift to bring glory to God. Thank you for sharing his beautiful painting.
I’m so thankful for how God is using you and David in our tiny little town. When I first saw the painting I thought to myself “follow the cloud”! Exodus to me means that when you encounter God, you will never be the same. No matter where you are in life or where you come from, God can change all that and take you from the worst and give you the best.
I saw David’s work when you presented it in church Sunday as I watched online and I was truly amazed and blessed. His painting took me beyond just the picture and today after reading your post, I realize m, just like the artistry of your words, David’s painting drew me into a time of worship. What a gift!!
I loved your entry this morning! I usually listen to you while walking, but have had some physical issues this week, so I clicked on my iPad, and I was so happy to see all those pictures! You are such a blessing to me and many more around the country, but especially to Gillett, I know. And David, too! Thanking God for you both.
J.D. I love your WakeUp Call. Most of the time I read (listen) to you in the morning and it starts my day with God leading me. I love the painting your David did and I believe it is the story of Exodus. He is very talented.

This is the first holiday since the passing of my first son.
In this painting I see God and Andrew walking together as I (wife to) walk with Jesus here.
Both journeys started about the same date. And David’s vision he put on canvas shows just how God offers care and healing.
Thank you for sharing.
Blessings
